Quoted from BCLions.com:

(Vancouver) The BC Lions announced this morning that non-import receiver Bret Anderson has been signed by the club. Anderson returns to the Lions fold after retiring prior to the 2009 season.

“Bret is special athlete who has the experience and ability to helps us immediately,” said Lions GM and head coach Wally Buono.

A veteran of 176 games dating back to the 1997 season, the versatile receiver and kicker played a valuable role on special teams in recent years sharing kickoff duties with Paul McCallum in addition to 93 career receptions for 1,137 yards and five TD’s.

This is a good depth move, particularly with Paris Jackson getting knicked up against the Riders on Friday. The dependable Anderson is a good option to have around in case of emergency, or even if you need a clutch catch. Welcome back Bret!
