Welcome to the site that I hope will become your home for BC Lions football discussion and participation, BCLionsDen.ca. Allow me to take a moment to introduce the site to you, explain why it site exists and what I hope to accomplish with it.

Where did it come from?

I launched BCLionsDen.ca for the start of the 2008 season and I have run CanucksCorner.com, a Vancouver Canucks fan site since 1996. The Lions became became a real passion again for me in 2003, when I began to attend games regularly. My interest in graphics and web design as a hobby and the natural partnership with the hockey site, led me to take a go at creating a fan site for myself and for BC Lions fans.

The goal of this site.

One of the reasons I became so enthused about the CFL again, was the fellowship of the fans. CFL fans are unlike any other group and there is a respect and willingness to share in what is a uniquely Canadian game. Nowhere is this more evident than Grey Cup week every November, where fans of all teams gather to celebrate our game, their love for it and to meet friends from across the country. Ok and we also like to party our faces off as fans of the CANADIAN Football League!

Fans of all levels of knowledge, from new fans to long time football enthusiasts should feel welcome at BCLionsDen.ca, as should fans of ALL the teams in the CFL. This may be a BC Lions fan site, but in the spirit of what it means to be a CFL fan, opposing fans are a must for any site to thrive.

As we add to our content, I hope this site becomes a great online resource for fans. A place where older fans can educate their children on the rich history of the BC Lions and the players have entertained us in the past. Our goal is to provide you with quality fan driven content, in a comfortable and welcoming environment for all. We hope our passion for the game and all that surrounds it makes an even bigger CFL fan out of you!
