It didn’t take long for one surprise to come out of Abbotsford. Reports last night had offensive lineman Martin Bibla leaving the club Friday. It’s not clear of the circumstances surrounding the departure, but the wording of the rumours suggest Bibla may have quit. The Lions were counting  on Bibla to compete for left tackle sport formerly owned by the departed LT Rob Murphy, but that honour will now go to Darren Marquez and Walter Stith.

The return of CFL football is upon us, and as training camps break across the league, all eight teams are setting their sights on winning the Grey Cup. For the first time in a couple of seasons, the BC Lions are going to have a very competitive training camp. The off-season saw the team release several veterans, many of the big name variety in an effort to build a younger, faster team.
